Burnside resident receives prestigious Rotary award

Norman, a resident at our Burnside care home, was heavily involved in Laurencekirk and District Rotary Club.
During his time as a member, Norman worked within the community and raised funds for various charities.
This week, he was given an award for his services by Alan Macnaughton, Vice President of the club, who was accompanied by fellow members, David Jones and Charlie Black.
Norman enjoyed the morning with his friends. So much so, the staff at Burnside have organised for Norman to attend Rotary meetings and to become involved with the club which was an important part of his life.
Afterall, enabling residents to maintain an active role within the community is important to our staff and the wellbeing of our residents.
