Dignity Action Day 2021 at Manorcroft

On the first of February, Manorcroft Care Home celebrated Dignity in Care's event, 'Dignity Action Day'.

Dignity Action Day #DAD2021 is an annual opportunity for health and social care workers, and members of the public to uphold people's rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for people who use care services.

So, the team in Manorcroft visited all residents and delivered a lovely buttonhole made from fresh flowers made by our deputy manager Allison which brightened everyone’s day put a smile on their faces.

Staff then hosted a coffee morning and served some yummy sweet treats and drinks.

The group spent the time reading through a book together on life back in the 1930s and 40’s which brought back a lot of memories for our residents and they had a lovely time reminiscing.

They also made some special tags to hang on our tree in reception for staff and residents to fill in with things like ‘How can we make every day special’ and ‘What dignity means to me.’
