Our approach to care

Springhill Care Home offers residential care, nursing, and dementia care plus, subject to availability, respite and convalescent care. The care home has a particular expertise in assisting residents with specific medical needs with a team of highly skilled registered nurses.

Daily activities

Our activities coordinator organises a weekly schedule of activities and entertainment to keep life fun and engaging for our residents. Residents are able to explore the local community and beyond through trips and excursions in our own minibus.

Menu

Our chef prepares a delicious menu of three meals a day plus snacks. Personal preferences and dietary requirements are fully catered for so that all residents look forward to mealtimes.

Springhill Care Home is a beautifully restored listed Georgian building. All 64 bedrooms at the home have spacious ensuite shower facilities and there are stunning secure landscaped gardens on site.

The home recently underwent an extensive refurbishment program which included electrical upgrades, structural repairs, re-roofing works, stone repairs and alterations, installation of beautiful new sash windows throughout and full redecoration. It now boasts a cook school and residents' salon to, not only enhance the enjoyment of our residents but also provide greater peace of mind for their relatives.

Our caring staff have established a tuck shop within the home to promote sociable, resident-led activity.

Springhill was recognised at a prestigious award ceremony thanks to a collaboration with the Care Inspectorate and Gargieston Early Learning Childhood Centre in Kilmarnock.

The intergenerational programme which delivered sessions focussing on physical activity, relationship building and maximised learning opportunities for children and adults picked up the top award in the Most Inspiring / Innovative category at the Quality Improvement Awards 2018.
